SCS Stripper
A downloadable tool for Windows
Turn your loose images...
Into one combined Atlas..
Stripper is a simple, lightweight dev focused tool for working with 2D images.
Combine individual images into a single sprite strip, tile sheet, or texture atlas.
Split existing strips or sheets into individual frames with the built-in Slicer.
-
Fast, lightweight, and focused - no clutter.
I originally built Stripper for my own projects where the larger multi-purpose apps were completely overkill. It proved so useful that I decided to polish it up and make it publically available.
Features
-
Tile Strip: put every frame in one long image.
-
Tile Sheet: specify how many tiles across before wrapping to a new row.
-
Texture Atlas: set a maximum width/height (for example 2048x2048) and Stripper will pack frames across multiple atlases if needed.
Slicer: give it a sheet or atlas, set frame size, and it exports every frame as its own file.
Slicer Resizing: slicer can resize the frames as it cuts them if desired.
-
Output formats: PNG, JPEG, BMP.
- Documentation: simple documentation included under Help menu with step-by-step instructions and useful screenshots.
Requirements:
- Windows (may work on other platforms via wine etc, untested)
- .NET 4.8 Framework Runtime (get it here)
Updates:
Please report any bugs/issues and we will fix asap and release patches. Feel free to suggest additional features. Future features like json metadata (frame sizes, frame rects, etc) have been considered if tool gets a decent amount of adoption - let us know if you're interested!
